You know what’s great about family? They are always there for you.  No matter how bad things get, your family will be by your side.  You can rely on them to help you through tough times and celebrate the good ones with you. And they make life more fun too.  So here is a list of ways that we hope will make time spent with each other even better:

Gel Balling

Gel balling is very similar to paintballing, just that in this case you’re shooting gel balls instead of paint balls. It’s a great way to have fun with your family but you have to make sure everyone has their gel blaster tactical gear. Get everyone together and head to one of the many gel ball arenas in town. Pick up some food on the way there, find your targets, and start shooting!  Even if you aren’t great shots, it doesn’t matter — no one has to get hurt. Just watch out for those little gel balls that can sometimes be painful.

Get Outdoors

The great thing about being outside is that there is always something going on that will keep everyone interested and excited. Whether you want to have a picnic or go camping, the best part about being outside is the amazing feeling you get from being in nature.  And if your family enjoys the great outdoors, you can also play fun games outside together like badminton, bocce ball or Frisbee.  Anything that gets you onto the grass is sure to be a day you won’t forget.

Organize Movie Night

Everyone loves a good movie, and what better time to watch one than when you’re all cuddled up together? You can find some old classics that everyone will know by heart or you can choose something newer that your family is sure to love.  Whichever movie you choose, just remember the popcorn. It gives everyone something to snack on while they watch and it makes for a great bonding experience.

Visit The Beach

The beach is one of those places that always has something exciting to offer.  Whether you’re walking along the shore line and admiring the view or looking for seashells, there’s just so much to do at a beach that it will never get old. And if you decide to stay for a little bit longer, you and your family can even try to build a sand castle. Start by getting a good base and then bring out the buckets and shovels and go to town adding turrets, windows, stairs, etc.  It’s sure to be one of those things you’ll always remember doing together.

Play Games

There are so many games you can play with your whole family.  Board games, video games, card games, there are just so many fun activities to do while spending time together and it doesn’t matter what kind of game you play because they are all equally fun. Kids especially love it when you can make an ordinary day feel like a holiday, so instead of asking them to clean their room today, ask them if they want to play Monopoly.

You may be surprised by how much more willing they are to get it done when the reward is fun time with you. You can all sit around the same television set and have fun together while cooperating or competing to see who will come out on top.  There are also lots of fun video games that you can play as a family. From first person shooters to side scrollers, there’s something for everyone.

Grow a Garden

Whether you’re growing vegetables to cook up into a delicious dinner or just some flowers for the backyard, your family can enjoy working together to plant and take care of something that will live on forever. It’s also very therapeutic to get down and dirty, digging in the dirt while you’re just relaxing outside with your family. And it’s always fun to see something you planted grow up from the ground and transform into something beautiful.  There are lots of opportunities to get dirty when you’re gardening, but when everything starts blooming, it will be worth every minute spent in the garden together.

So now that you have this list, try to incorporate it into your life. Whether you already do all of these things with your family or just some, now is the perfect time for change. Introduce your kids to new fun activities and spend some extra quality time with them before they grow up and leave your home.

And if you’re having trouble getting everyone together in one spot, ask your family if they would like to do something together and get them all involved. It doesn’t matter what you do or where you go, just getting out there and spending time with each other is sure to be one of the best things that ever happened to your family.
